Pivoting & Starting Dev again


Today, I wanted to share some insights into the development process and the reasoning behind some key decisions we made for the game.

Initially, I had grand plans for an immersive story-driven game experience. However, I soon realized that crafting a compelling narrative required more time and resources than I had available. So, rather than compromising the overall quality of the game, I decided to pivot towards a gameplay-focused experience that didn’t heavily rely on a complex story.

One concept that fascinated me was creating an Alternate Reality Game (ARG) experience. I wanted to provide players with a unique offline gameplay experience that they could enjoy indefinitely. Ideally there will be automatically generated bug patterns as well so the game is truely infinite.
